I'm glad i read this, I've been trying to spell contemprories all afternoon. The friendships you have at CH become special in part i believe because of the routine and the location. I doubt CH would have been as much fun if it were in an urban environment....

I've been back to CH once, seven years after i left. I was unsure how i'd feel but i didn't expect to feel so overwhelmed by happy memories! So i'd reccomed a trip back to anyone who hasn't yet been, but not too often.

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you "crotching" - secreting of smoking materials down the front of one's breeches in order to prevent them being confiscated during a search or when caught smoking. Used to keep the Old Holborn nice and moist as well..... (sorry about that). As a point of inte...

PeB 39 ThA 37. In the darker moments I drew comfort that Paul Newmans prison number in Cool hand Luke was 37. I wonder if the school still keeps all our numbers on record like some huge govement database.

first smoke

My first cigarette was in prep break on my GE outside the back of THA in the copse. I went green and had to go straight to bed where i chucked up and was ill for 24hrs, lovely stuff. Blue Rizlas and drum were probably my most consistent combination, and not to sound like a **** but giving up smoking...

The truth is out there

It is a sad story, I was at a press conference earlier this year at Portcullis House, Westminster. What makes it doubly harrowing is that a different persons mother stood up and addressed the board of Lords and MPs and solicitors with the question "My son died in suspicious circumstances abroad...

DNP

I spent seven years at CH and all my happiest memories are of the theatre and running the department ragged with my incescant mimicking of whatever i had seen that was vile on the television that week, constant attention seeking and infuriating pedantry. DNP, Jeff Mayhew, Paul Ward, Jo Wells, Rob De...

Re: Tom Snook

The thread realting to the death of the band captain in 1990 brought some very sad memories flooding back about Tom Snook. It was November 1997 - Tom Snook was a UF in Peele A and I was a dep in Maine A. I had known him in Maine B when we were both juniors. He was in the same play as me - Mort by T...
