Oh, Angela, how well you sum it up! I sort-of feel exactly the same. Such unhappy memories, and yet ... well, I wouldn't be typing this if I didn't want to indulge in a bit of Hertford nostalgia, would I? And to think I've come to it after all these years - must be old age or something! I'm so glad...

Rather belatedly (I don't visit the forum that much) I would like to add my own memories of Miss Riddiford.
