Re: any hope left for kids on waiting list at this stage?

Hi,

I suggest you ring Mrs. Brakes in the school office, she's awfully nice. I'm sure she would be more than happy to answer your questions. My DS is in the second form, he told me a few kids have dropped out or are going to.

Good luck,

Re: Day Pupils - announcement pending

So not just anyone can be become a day pupil? That seems a little unfair. I'm very confused by all this information, of lack of it. :?

Re: Day Pupils - announcement pending

I wonder when this will be put into action? Will current boarders be aloud to become day students? Weekly boarding would be ideal for me, I doubt it will be an option though.

Re: Early Lent Half Term

Back to the original topic , if I may ,even though I am enjoying the digression, I have just been told by the offspring that I have to take all their stuff home at half term as the rooms will be needed for the assessmentees to stay in . AAAAIIIIEEEEE! I have three at the school with a car that can ...

Re: Early Lent Half Term

Does anyone know if the rules might change? I would love my DS to come home every weekend. If I were aloud to pick him up after Saturday classes and bring him back on Sunday evening, that would be brilliant. Bring on the change.

I wonder if the snow will cause the Lent term to start late? Apparently heavy snow is expected this Sunday. :D

Re: End of term packing

To get back to Jade's original question My son is in the second form, and has informed me that everything has to be brought home at the end of each term. Is this true? I don't drive, so getting everything back will be a nightmare. How did you get on Jade? Did you manage to drag everything home on p...

Re: January Residential Assessment

My DS took the assessment last year. The English comprehension was much easier than the sample test on the CH website. We read Dickens for a few month, but the passage on the test was modern. and easy to understand. He did lots of the verbal and non-verbal reasoning practise tests. He spent hours on ...

End of term packing

My son is in the second form, and has informed me that everything has to be brought home at the end of each term. Is this true? I don't drive, so getting everything back will be a nightmare. Thanks in advance for your advice. :D

Keeping warm in a housey

My DS is a second former and is freezing in his housey. Does anybody have some tips for staying cosy? Can he wear gloves and a hat with his uniform?

Re: Best wishes to all the new second form

Leave Weekends :?: :!: When I was young it was leave days and metal beds with boards and no springs. The youth of today don't know they're born blah, blah, blah... *Shakes head exits and joins JR and Neill in the box* On that note, my DS's mattress seemed like the springs were sticking throu...

Re: New sports kit list

As for the trackie bottoms, I thought the sports list info gave inside leg measurements? I may have remembered that wrong, but I seem to remember having to order a size up for my skinny but long-legged daughters so that they would be long enough? If so, have you checked that you got the right size,...
