Re: End of term

I remember the dreadful occasion in the LV1, when I, and a few other girls who were deemed overweight, were summoned to the Infirmary, weighed, and had appointments made with Dr Jory. I had this too.....but because they considered me to be underweight. It continued when I was at Horsham too. I also...

Re: Politics

Did anyone see the boy Hilto's remarkable appearance on Newsnight this week? What a performer. The pale blue top to match the melting pale blue eyes. The "Aw shucks, I'm so hurt for the plight of the ordinary guy" demeanour. The squirming shoulders to match the bleeding heart sentiments. This is th...

Re: Politics

Nicola Sturgeon is making watching politics interesting. Love her or loathe her, there are a lot of similarities to Margaret Thatcher, domineering and uncomprising to name but 2!

Re: General Election: Old Blue candidates

Nigel (for this really is a one-man band) like all populists is good at identifying problems and doesn't shy away from them, but he has no realistic solutions. He (uniquely) gives straight answers to straight questions. Just don't think too hard about the implications. If you want to watch amateurs...

Re: General Election: Old Blue candidates

Charismatic, brilliantly un-pc Nigel Farage. Got FAR more personality than the 3 'main' party leaders put together. May not agree with everything he stands for, but at least he is says what he thinks- drinks and smokes on camera- and blow everyone who doesn't like it..VOTE UKIP!

Re: Residential assessment?

What an agonizing wait...! hope you hear soon, hang on in...

Re: End of term

Last day of term, the best feeling ever! :D In 8's- late 60's early 70's- we did the conga and sang 'Show me the way to go home' ! AFAIR in the Prep at Horsham, 1950s, the two houses got together in the assembly hall, had a bath bun (wow!) and sang songs which always included "Men of Harlech". The ...
