Re: Cricket jumper

I do have several plain cricket sweaters in the Thrift Shop at very reasonable prices (from £4 for sleeveless and £5 for long sleeved) as well as other cricket clothing etc. The shop will be open from 4 - 6.30pm on Sunday.

Re: first day of term for second formers

The Headmaster attends the tea in Dining Hall and at about 4 pm makes a short speech to the parents and pupils, before asking the parents to kindly leave their offspring in our tender care! That's your cue to say goodbye and head home, leaving the new Second Form to return to their boarding houses w...

Re: New Sports Kit arrived, but hang on!?

I'm now back from my holiday and can open the Thrift Shop if anyone needs to come before term starts. Just phone and leave a message if I am not in and I will get back to you ASAP. Numbers are on the website.

Re: New sports kit list

Should anyone need a size 38 chest Kukri Polo Shirt for their son or daughter, I am endeavouring to find a purchaser for one that is brand new and too big to be worn by its owner. Please e-mail me if you are interested.

Re: PAT Testing

PAT testing will be done in school the week after Leave Weekend, thus enabling any Second Formers phone chargers to be tested at the same time as the rest of the items.

Re: Best wishes to all the new second form

[quote="Jade On that note, my DS's mattress seemed like the springs were sticking through. I'm worried he won't sleep very well on it. If the mattress is very uncomfortable, he should let his matrons know - we then try to get a replacement. In the meantime, he could probably be given a blanket...

Re: PAT Testing

I am pretty sure that last year we all sent the mobile phones that the Second Form brought back after Leave Weekend to one boarding house for them to be tested. We also had the testers return in January, as many pupils had new electrical items for Christmas. I will need to check the arrangements for...

Re: PAT Testing

The last time I paid CH (Jan 06) it was £5 irrespective of the number of items a pupil was having tested. I don't know if it has changed since then. Items can be tested elsewhere and brought in to school as long as the sticker is in date.

Re: Helpful Tips for New Parents please!!!

Please make sure that they can manage to change their duvet covers and put sheets on their beds - they need to be able to do it on their own! They also need to know how to cut their nails with either clippers or nail scissors (it's your choice which you send them with). If your child wears glasses a...

Re: Anyone wanting Kukri sports kit let me know!!!

I think that the original idea was that the school would decide when it needed the on-line shop to be open, orders would be taken over a 2-3 week period, the order would then be produced and delivered in bulk to the school. This has, of course, been a nightmare this summer and I have had endless tel...

Re: New sports kit list

The orders for games kit that were taken by Kukri on New Entrants' Day in May have now arrived at school and are either in the post today or will be by tomorrow. Please note that Kukri's manufacturer of the socks sent black instead of navy blue , which was not apparent until a staff member opened up...
