Re: 2nd former - leave weekend travel question

Finding people to share travel with can be very difficult in my experience. Even having found other families in my area, I found their plans rarely matched up with ours... It's worth asking your daughters house mistress of course, as you may strike lucky, but if I were you, I think I'd be spending s...

Re: I know I should know the answer to this Re: Doctor

The Dr. named on my daughter's prescriptions is Potiphar! I found that quite amusing...
My dad's GP was a doctor Payne.

Re: Siblings DLA-Tax credits

Thank you so much.
It feels like a very big step to take, so it's good to know it could be a well worthwhile one.

Siblings DLA-Tax credits

Hate calling the school, so thought I'd ask here first... I'm seriously considering putting in a claim for DLA for my three year old. I know disability benefits don't count for the purpose of calculating contributions for CH, and I know that tax credits do. I've read that if my son does qualify for ...

Re: 3 weekly grades

It's not just me that hasn't seen them yet then. My Daughter did tell me her "average" but as far as I'm concerned that means very little, I like to see the grades for all the subjects, the attainment, as well as the effort, as there's often quite a difference between the two. Do all the h...

Re: laptops

She was told by someone in the IT department on Monday it was ok. She's since found it's not, and has had no help sorting it. Not only that, but today, a teacher told her class that anyone who had done their prep on a computer, must write it out in their books in time for tomorrows lesson. My daught...

Re: laptops

Thanks for that. :)
A netbook running Linux is what she has. She's very pleased with it, but it was me wondering if it would be compatible. She'll find out for sure soon enough!

Re: laptops

Firstly, schools in Devon have moved on somewhat, they have interactive whiteboards! Secondly, my daughter has a multitude of gadgets, none of which have been bought by anyone in this house. To be quite honest, I am still not comfortable with my daughter having a smartphone or a computer of he...

Also. I've just realised how arbitrary the grades are  A lot of ds's best subjects last year, are not his best this year and vice versa :D
Same here. It's got to be down to different teachers, I find it hard to believe my daughter's capabilities have changed that much. :?
