He was just down from Cambridge, and in 1951/2 he taught us about DNA and the double helix. I think that this was the first time ever that it was taught in any school world wide!

I think the line was set at 5"; I think that it was to save fuel.

We certainly had Malt when I entered Col A in 1946. I do not know how long it continued.

I feel that some of the prob lem is, that we are all paying too little Income Tax.
In 95-96 the standard rate was 25%, and came down gradually till 2007-08 when it was 22%. Then there was a 10% cut to 20%.
Now we cannot afford anything!

Not a bad idea, but the Lord Mayor may find it difficult to visit; and the St Matthews day service would be more difficult.
The site could constructed to accomodate larger numbers, so we could reverse the drop in numbers when Hertford was closed.
