knitted Housey frog

I wasn't sure whereabouts to put this post, but here goes When my Ds started CH, the tuck shop sold lovely knitted Housey frogs - they really helped DS2 get over the fact his older brother had 'vanished' off to school. I have recently taught myself to knit, and having looked at these frogs I think t...

Re: Residential assessment?

is there a majority of full fee paying/ overseas pupils entering at this stage? I'd also be interested in this. I'm still considering the school for ds2 but he's at a poor secondary at the moment, and i'm not really sure whether it'll be worth putting him through it all again. He certainly couldn't...

Re: Residential assessment?

very few people are eligable for a full bursery, I think you have to have no income and survive purely on benefits. My entire salary pays for the CH education and we've had to remortgage to pay the bills!! Aldi is our friend and generous grandparents who enable our ds2 to have a bit of fun in his life

Re: Residential assessment?

I'm really sorry to hear about your disapointments, my second son didn't get in (1st is in UF), we were told that his english let him down, it is nice to know that it's not a standard letter. We were advised to try again for yr 9 entry, will this be a possibility? Sadly my ds is still failing at eng...

Would anyone be able to pm me the details I need to order the house photos? my laptop has died along with all my emails from CH, and sadly my son would appear to be incapable of finding the information out

Re: 2014 Admissions

My son had 7 join in yr 9! So they outnumbered the original ones. No issues at all with settling in afaik. It did them the world of good to have new blood imo.

Re: 2014 Admissions

We got told that too :D No devastation though in this house - I would have been having a mild panic attack if he'd got in. He really would have struggled with the languages and English. Hope you have a good plan B Eowyn, luckily for us the state comp, although not fab academically, should suit ds.

Re: 2014 Admissions

No idea if we can afford it (TBH we can't afford the fees for our first son - we can only pay them thanks to a flexible mortgage) But we'll have to find the money if ds2 gets a place (kinda crossing my fingers that he won't get a place   ) But we haven't paid a registration fee. Only a cou...

Re: 2014 Admissions

Thank you. They are certainly making it hard to work out if you can afford it, I remember when you could get an estimate!
