Re: washing powder

My son has come back with eczema on his shins - he blames the itchy socks! He does, however, often suffer this time of year so I couldn't say if it is the washing powder or anything like that. I have bought him some cream to apply before he puts his socks on so hopefully that will help.

Re: emails

I still have only received one email from my son (which was just one line) despite emailing and writing to him. I have heard from lots of parents that this is perfectly usual & he would be emailing all the time if there were any problems, still hard for us at home though :(

Re: feeling very odd!

You were lucky - I also had an email from my son last night & all it said was something like "Hi, this is my email address, bye". I have read between the lines & take it that he must be busy & enjoying himself too much to write any more but I would have appreciated a bit more d...

Re: Anxious parents

That is really lovely, it brought tears to my eyes! I have visited the school on a 'normal' day when many pupils were in their home clothes etc & their attitude was still fantastic - they were all friendly & polite & seemed to be enjoying themselves. I know my son will love it, it's just...

Re: Anxious parents

I feel exactly the same, CHDad. My son is starting next month and I was really excited at first but now the thought of him leaving home makes me feel sick. Luckily he is looking forward to it! What house will your son be in? Mine is going into Maine A. I would really appreciate contact with other pa...
