Trees down on roads around Horsham

The storm here in Horsham and district tonight is terrible. There are reports of a lot of trees down, so please be careful when collecting pupils for half term tomorrow.

Re: School Dinners In Present Times.

My dd would agree with yadayadas ds. She doesn't like the school lunch or dinner - and chooses salad more than we would like her too. Breakfast is mainly fruit for her, but she does like brunch on a Sunday.

Good luck for the residentials tomorrow.

I just wanted to say good luck to all the students sitting the residential exams tomorrow and Friday. Dd is helping out in her house, and is really looking forward to do so. If anyone is travelling by train, please allow plenty of time and check with southern rail how the trains are running. There i...

Re: calling Matron!

Wow - very exciting, and good luck at the interview.

Is it for a boys house, or for a girls house?

Re: Tuck shop

Dd is very upset at tuck shop going. She says that grecians club (where tuck shop was moved to) is being turned into a cafe with a pick and mix run by chartwells. She's been telling me about the anticipation about what to get in the old building behind Coleridge, being squashed into the original bui...

Re: 3rd form GCSE options

I was under the impression that cgse's at CH are taught over 2 years, not 3. Even though the gcse's are chosen 3 years ahead of the exams, they don't start the gcse syllabuses themselves until UF.

Re: 3rd form GCSE options

No, we havnt received anything further either. I would have thought that we would have had options information, detailing the areas covered, that we could have discussed with our children over the Easter break. But that opportunity has now passed. The children were informed by the school that this m...

Re: 3rd form GCSE options

Hi - my daughter thinks he's winding up your ds. Dd said they are being sent with next terms timetable. There was an options sheet given out in the RLT giving examples of some of the option groupings and a list of options. Did your ds get that? - I could send you a photo of it if not.

Re: "The Blue 2012" - Oh Dear...

Dd is now on her 2nd tin of polish, and they do get checked in house, but I don't suppose they get polished weekly.

She got very excited about an electric polisher in a hotel lobby a few weeks ago when we visited relatives . Her dm's had a really high shine after a few minutes ;)

Poor dd - even a 4.84 doesn't even warrant a small slice of childrens sized margarita :(
