Re: laptops

Thank you for the info onewestguncopse. My 3rd form DD will apparently be the only one of her house group returning without a laptop, iPad, netbook or kindle/kindle fire. We cannot afford any of these items at this time. It is comforting to know that a laptop is not essential for school work until U...

Re: 3rd form German trip

Very disappointed. Our 2nd former daughter found out tonight (before bed) that she was not "chosen" to go on Cologne trip. 2 girls in her house were chosen. 3 were not. One did not apply. This trip should be offered to all or not at all. We scurried to get the £100 pounds required and got ...

Thanks Vol. and F.! Polos are already ironed, folded and packed away in bag bound for CH. Think sun could still work? Thanks again. X

Re: BIG ink pen stains on white crested polos!

Thank you all for your time and suggestions. After 6 days of scrubbing,12 washes and trying all suggested remedies - I can say that TESCO'S OXI WHITE STAIN REMOVER POWDER DID THE TRICK! ...god how boring do I sound...I will say the stains are still ever ever so slight but should be missed by most. I...

Re: BIG ink pen stains on white crested polos!

Showing my roots buying the tippex suggestion...! Thank you to all again! Will try stain devil. My hands are now sandpaper from working on my stain project and tackling the iceberg of laundry that arrived home on Saturday. Ugh..

BIG ink pen stains on white crested polos!

Hello fellow CH parents,

Any tips on how to remove big blue ink blobs from beautiful white crested CH polo tops? Major pen leak while in transit which soaked through to white laundry!
Thanks in advance !

Re: New Entrants'Day

Barnes Mum! Are you a mum to a dd in Barnes B? What year? What house are you a matron to? how great for your dd! My dd is in Barnes A. Amazed by matrons. Feel so inept in comparison.
Like having 40 daughters.! :)

Re: New Entrants'Day

I would agree that Sports Kit ordering was chaotic and unorganised last year. However I believe it was CH's first year with Kukri (sp?). I am sure wrinkles are all smoothed out now. We weren't able to order at all last year after making 2 attempts during the day because of queue. We ended up having ...

Re: Leave weekends

Dearest Volupturaptor! I only heard about leave weekend complication AFTER it had been sorted! As you know my dd is a big fan of your dd. We are just less than 2 hours on the train/tube/train. We most often take train to collect, but dd will start meeting us at Victoria on her own soonish. Your dd i...

Re: New book - murder mystery set at CH!

My dd devoured this book in 2 days this past Spring. She loved it so went on to read Will's first two books. All so inspiring for dd! Will is clearly incredibly bright and talented. My contact with YADA YADA (although not yet in person!) has been the highlight of my time on this forum. She has been ...

Re: Initial Assessment

Oh Lippizaner... I have been following your story. It reads like a good book. I await your next chapter and have been quietly sending good vibes across the channel. Your experience is now a good story for both you and your ds regardless of the outcome. Thank you for sharing so candidly. Bon chance. ...
