Re: doesnt want us to visit

I say go and see a match... don't turn up to every match (that would probably embarrass), but pick what looks to be a 'big match' against a tough school say, and I'm sure she will play well as a consequence. I played better with my dad watching... he always turned up unannounced which made it all th...

Joe, That suits me too. Im not looking to make old blues a number one club, but something for the quieter moments of the year to begin with. some outings for a laugh and a chance for some ch pupils to get an idea of what the sport is all about. Great to see you at the Head of the River. Just seen th...

Yes thats my brother Max on the front row 2nd from the left. I think he left in 93 and I arrived in 94. He tells good stories about that team - I'm sure they are elaborated in true ch style - I was also 11 when I heard most of them! I think we have a copy of that photo at home.

Tue DNP madness! I think I have a photo of orpheus in the underworld somewhere but even if I do find it I'm afraid it's going nowhere near the inte...

The red represents the city of London so I am told - still think its an ugly tie, though Im not losing much sleep over it. I think they could be useful in other ways, perhaps as a belt, or for any other unfortunate moment when a piece of rope is not at hand.

Im sorry, I'm just getting used to this website! I am so grateful for all the comments. More information about the time Brangwyn spent as an apprentice with Morris would be great, although from what I can read he didn't really enjoy the work that much as he was often being asked to do jobs he didn't...

Well, They are canvases attached to the wall, which are in the mural style. Brangwyn’s great wish was that they should be marouflaged onto the walls to become full murals - I suppose I am just honouring his wishes! -Thanks for the feedback. Most People seem to remember that organist, one teac...

Socks

To be honest, I can't believe I'm replying to a comment on socks and ties but here goes. Why is there red in the school tie/socks? I think the old blue tie should be something we are proud to wear. I don't own one myself because it looks terrible. It looks like the sort of school tie you see childre...

Paintings in Chapel - Frank Brangwyn

Please let me know if you have any stories, memories or any other information on the 16 mural paintings in the school chapel. I am currently writing a 15,000 word university dissertation (History of Art, St Andrews) at the moment based on the social impact of the works and so would love to hear any ...
