Re: The Story of Old Blues in North America - BCOB Book Project

Peter Flynn was altogther unAmerican, as we thought: very arty and unsporty (he became a judge). Al Sharp was the all-American boy. Some say he was sent as an antidote. I was his ' swab ' i...

Yes, it is three. My mistake.

VerisonaLaw is very much in the know with the court lists, so we'll wait and se. If these three stick to 'not guilty' pleas, it could be some time yet.

Re: Date of sentencing of Webb and Burr

I can only assume the two sentences passed were in my view lenient, because of their age. Or maybe they were Masons !!!

Two down, literally) and two to go.

There are quite a few in the UK.
Some come and run with us on the Costa Blanca Hash when they are visiting and others, having run in Madrid, come back when the Madrid Hash have their annual Hash in Javea.
Not from Afghanistan or Pakistan, then ??

Re: Date of sentencing of Webb and Burr

JR, re your post above, all cases start in the magistrates' court. For a serious offence a not guilty plea will usually be sent to Crown Court for trial. A guilty plea will go there for sentencing; so also a finding of guilty to a not guilty plea where the District Judge or the magistrates consider...

Re: how to appeal an Unduly Lenient Crown Court Sentence

As far as the plea bargain scenario is concerned, I'll wait until ALL the cases are completed before commenting further. All this occured long after my departure from CH, and as I have said on another thread, I never had any evidence of staff/pupil abuse. These sorts of abuse are dealt with more ope...
