Re: Freemasons and questions to answer

Freemasons are not so secretative of their activities.

I have been approached twice to think about becoming 'one of the chosen'. I declined on both occasions.

Re: WHERE IS CHOBA?

I certainly don't have the time or health with a semi-disabled wife and after suffering a stroke myself.

I certainly agree a public enquiry would be for the best. Maybe the sitting Judge could suggest such an action.

Re: What was the attraction?

Quite an interesting slant on staff types which I'd never really thought about. Some names I recognise - Many I don't. Obviously Lorimer and Rocker Ray both taught me during my tenure, as did R.A. Hewitt who taught me English and was my Junior house-master in Coleridge B and a fairly young bachelor....

I wish I could find my collection of "The Blue" magazine from that time. Even those who left in dishonour got honourable mentions in dispatches.
I've got a couple of possible Dick Emery type jokes circulating in my head, but p'raps not at this time.

Re: WHO TO CONTACT REGARDING ABUSE AT CH

JR you are not the only one, I don’t think we should be having to go to CHOBA to read such letters. I think they should remove the tag line A school like no other I certainly hope that no other schools have such a story of abuse. I certainly thought that when I looked at the letter. My initial reac...

Re: WHO TO CONTACT REGARDING ABUSE AT CH

I'm slightly concerned Julian. I haven't yet received this e-mail from the HM, so was completely in the dark when I received a PM from someone about it. I'll have to check with the school office as I think this is the second epistle that has wandered off track ! Or am I now persona non grata ???? 8)

Re: A day by the seaside (aka Husband's folly)

Please be very careful on this specific thread. Tim stated that he is leaving this forum which I have noted before that it is his perogotive so to do, and I fully understand his family grief. However, can we please now all move on and wait to see what the future holds. There cannot be any more whit...
