Re: Letter to the Head Master

Any update on this letter? I don't know how I missed it back in 2018 but it is the kind of letter I have been keen to write for some time, especially the points about Webb's dismissal and Baker's letter.

Re: Relationships - Grecian / UF

So after a while they opened "the deps club" which was a wooden shed a pit like a temporary classroom and was behind the common room on the grass by the hairdressers room, it was meant to be somewhere for deps to hang out that was not a bush or the back of the club - however it never real...

It works out at 16 months a victim.

Absolutely shocking.
Agreed. I understand it was in line with police expectations. No comfort to the victims though.

Re: Trial of Gary William Dobbie

The point here is that Shrewsbury school had suspended Dobbie and they wouldn't have done so without knowing the reasons for his arrest. The newsletter could simply have said "He's been arrested but we can't comment further as investigations are still ongoing. He won't be returning as a teache...

Re: Trial of Gary William Dobbie

Not that it matters, but I don’t even remember GWD and JAH being particularly close at school. They weren’t an obvious pairing where guilt by association may naturally occur. Each year they took a group of selected pupils on reading trips, to the lakes or maybe some other national park. I think the...

Re: Kerren Simmonds is in hospital

Just seen the announcement about Kerren's funeral on Facebook in case any of you are interested. The post says: "The Funeral Service for Kerren Simmonds (2s 57-66) will be held on 21 June at 10:45 at St Peter and St Paul in Rustington. All are very welcome." I can't say I knew Kerren at al...

Old Blue stars in Madonna's new film

Just saw an review ( http://bit.ly/o3a5Bc ) of Madonna's latest film W.E about the life of Mrs Simpson. Madonna directs James D'arcy (La A 84-91) who plays Edward.

Sounds like a shocker of a film but the more due to the direction and script rather than the actor.....

Not penguin bashing per se... But a gang of CH people led by Richard "Rigger" Bates went to Southwater to take on a gang of kids from there... They went armed with hockey sticks, etc.. The Southwater gang came armed with a shotgun.... This was in the mid-80's sometime and may just be a CH...

Re: Expelled

As I think I and others have mentioned elsewhere there was the great drug bust of 1988 when the Thorn A Grecians were decimated along with selected others from other houses for dope smoking, or in the great tradition of Bill Clinton for not inhaling. I remember a lot of unhappy people around who fel...

To be fair to her, she may not remember either as the article was from 1986.

Fuzzbox reforming though, not something I'd have thought was top of many people's lists.
