Owch. Poor guy. Whereabouts is the 1st XV pitch (am I right in guessing it's the one by Peele pitches? I'm not of the sporting persuasion, so I wouldn't know)

Haha, yes, I know OF xx xx (removed - JT). I don't know her, but surprisingly, I was only told about her a couple of days ago. How long ago was she from CH?

Haha, I've seen that book. Most of the phrases are from Greyfriars though.

Still, I have no idea why they would want to reduce sexual desire - seeing as it was an all boys school, and homosexuality would probably have been social and religious suicide at the time. Actually, no wonder they put it in.

Too late to reply?

In response to Mrs C, we were asked what flab was, but not kiff.

I don't know why people thought they would drug the tea with bromide/marijuana though - what would be the point?
(Other than dispatching of a few hundred disliked teenagers of course...)

Well, they don't use bowls now.

And nobody I know of in CH uses the word 'kiff'.

So does anyone know where the word kiff comes from?
(And if the answer is 'from a kiff bowl', where did the bowl get the name kiff from?)

Where exactly did this term originate from?

The 'Brew Room', that is present in a few houses - where did this term come from?

Kiff - what is kiff, and where did the name come from?

How did a few of them die? Suicides? Or accidents (broken neck from rugby?)

Morbid, but...

...does anybody know of any pupil deaths that happened during their times at C.H.? Just wondering, as a couple of Chapel plaques have been tickling my brain recently - R.A. Slater is one that has kept me wondering, with him being Band Master and everything.

Well, I can safely say that my years at mixed CH have taught me a lot. You could make a TV programme on Channel 4 with my education. They'd call it 'What Not To Say'. Or is it BBC2...I forget. Anyway, I haven't had much luck in terms of positive interaction with the opposite sex at CH. Let's face it...

Oh dear, it has been a time,
since someone last left a rhyme,
but here comes Nyort,
who'll give you one of the sort,
that isn't even worth half a dime.

OK, that was bad...

I used it as a generic amount of time.
