Re: PETITION: Is 26% Full-Fee Paying Pupils Too High?

Many thanks. Well the figure seems to be 22% for 2016-7 which is a start. Keith Bowen based in the UK is leading the charge via a small UK 1552 Group. David

Re: The New Headmaster.

Maybe we shall see some posts on encouraging the new CEO & new Deputy Head in establishing a forthright FFP% reduction policy to <10% by 2027. And Council/Court at the June Meetings? Keeping our eyes on the ball as per Man of the Match Joe Lauinchbury vs Wales at Twickenham on Sunday. Come on Housey...

Re: The New Headmaster.

Various walking wounded in Mafeking but the battle continues - awaiting a definitive response from Council/CEO by late June. The key is Old Blue stamina for the cause at this stage.

Re: The New Headmaster.

Good plan. We need a discussion on the 2017-2027 strategy of the school and the FFP% reduction process.

Re: The New Headmaster.

Simon Reid the CEO/Head-Designate is effectively an Honorary Old Blue like Richard Poulton who indeed as HM 1986-1996 appointed Simon to the teaching staff 1993-2004. Simon is fully alerted to Campaign/Petition 1552 and it is optimistically anticipated that Simon will be working in concert with Greg...

Re: PETITION: Is 26% Full-Fee Paying Pupils Too High?

The 1552 Group is pressing Council for answers to such questions. The key will be the 2017-2022 Five-Year Business Plan. Plus the appointment of the new HM (next month?) and their strategy 2017-2027. We are now launching "Phase 2" of this Campaign following a meeting on Friday in Vancouver. We need ...

Re: PETITION: Is 26% Full-Fee Paying Pupils Too High?

We are committed to "winning". Our strategy at this stage is continued constructive discussion with CH management via the Clerk/CEO. Give this a chance via continued support and debating ideas please.

Re: Old Blues are fast and persistent

I am indeed optimistic that "Petition 1552" will be viewed by Council & widely as a successful, beneficial contribution to the Housey Ethos, Governance, FFP% Reduction, clearer metrics & the enhancement of the effective voice of Old Blues - as well as better fund-raising/cost-cutting - in the term o...

Re: PETITION: Is 26% Full-Fee Paying Pupils Too High?

There is a kernel of truth in this comment but we are simply endeavouring to make the very best of Housey in the 21stC based on that great ethos of educating the poor and needy without undue compromise to Mammon.

Re: PETITION: Is 26% Full-Fee Paying Pupils Too High?

This is a very important quantitative document worked on assiduously by Julian and others. Please examine this alongside the qualitative arguments of "Petition 1552" and the ethical & pragmatic presentations of the "Five" on March 7 2016. Basically the numbers and percentages of support for needy ch...

Re: PETITION: Is 26% Full-Fee Paying Pupils Too High?

The response of Council has now been received. This is in the form of a letter signed by Guy Perricone, Treasurer & Chair of Council & Dominic Fry, Deputy Chair of Council. This response is very troubling. Julian has assembled an important quantitative analysis addressing the facts on FFP/Needy Admi...
