Chris Nicholson was much more reasonable. He didn't mind you getting the smallest plimsol available and there were some really small shoes to choose from. I don't think he took any pleasure in this activity. I had Bomber Nick in 3A but now I know that he gave out cracks my opinion has changed of hi...

I cannot believe they demolished the car park bogs in order to stick a load of portakabin classrooms in there. When I saw them I thought they were temporary rooms for builders or something - they are stacked on top of each other like some post apocalypse movie scene.blondie95 wrote:ahhh where grange hill is!

Re: Old Blue On TV...
Jason Flemyng is apparently appearing in Losing Gemma ITV 1 tonight at 9 pm continued tomorrow night. It still amazes me that he is now an actor. I read an interview with him around the time of "Plunket and Mclean", where he was moaning that it was the first role he had had that allowed h...

The infamous car park bogs
Who remembers the car park bogs ? Now sadly departed (covered in Portakabins the last time I was there) ? It always amazed me they were ever built - out door loos, no doors. Did anyone ever use them for anything other than smoking ? I can't believe anyone ever did a number two in one ! The only usef...

Sorry but I think this one takes the prize: Remember those odd occasions where they used to rope off part of Little Side with white wooden posts and very long lengths of thick rope ? Two of these pieces of ropes disappeared, and were for months hidden in the innards of someone's sofa. I think it may...

Absolutely correct. Never did get to the bottom of why he was asked to retire. Must have been about the time of C.M.E. Seaman's retirement. I understand he got a position of teaching maths at another school and for some reason, shot himself. He was my housemaster in Col. B. Rather scary but a very ...

Religion at CH
For a religious school, it always struck me that in some ways CH was pretty relaxed when it came to religion. Only two chapel services a week (Sundays and Wednesdays), grace at meals, and that was it. What CH gave me was a great education. I don't think I ever believed in a supernatural deity before...
