Re: RESEARCH

I agree with a lot of the above comments. Going to C.H. at eleven and a half, I suppose the juices were starting to stir, BUT any female seemed 'too old' . I have stated somewhere on here in the past, there was ONE nurse I adored, probably more as a sibling than a possible romantic adventure. (I am ...

Re: RESEARCH

About 10/15 years ago, CH via a University did a health and statistics survey on consenting OB's.

As the OB's parent statistics were included in the survey, I declined to complete it, being adopted.

Re: RESEARCH

With regard to weighing, (which I'm sure took place, but don't recall), Dr. (Tommy) Scott was renowned for recording development progress especially with regard to nutrition, so I imagine he was instrumental.

Re: RESEARCH

I am carrying out some research of a 'then-and-now' nature and would be most grateful if anyone can supply me with the following information regarding C.H., please: 1. Years. Any time between 1947 and 1957. 2. Weekly programme of lessons by time (not worried about subject). Something like Lesson 1 ...

Re: American soldiers at CH during the War

Just to add to this thread on a matter already mentioned. My Wife's late maternal Grand-Parents lived in Westcott, (just west of Dorking) , during WW11. Her Grand-Father was a military policeman. To the day they passed on, they lived in Watson Road, Westcott. A german bomber dashing for home, jettis...

Re: School scarf

For anyone who is interested....the answer is £15 available from the Tuck Shop which is now called Buttons. Sent a cheque back to school this time! Do I take it from this post that the tuck shop has been privatised? Or just rebranded? Would Saatchi and Saatchi have been involved by any chance? What...

and he forgot the circumflex ê as in la tête Yep. As Arthur Rider said, hats have heads, phantoms have hoods and hotels have roofs. I guess that you are lucky; my laptop died permanantly and I had to get an HP. What a disaster; the old one had all the accented letters, tildes, circumflexes, umlauts...

Anyway, today is VE Day -- Victory for Europe.

And there is still a discussion as to who won!!

You really don't want me to make a comment on that question surely John ?

Ask me again in five or so years, assuming I'm still watching the debacle !!

Re: Threads being moved

Have I got the gender of "tete" right (see above)? I did French for six years at CH and was recently struggling to give the most basic directions to some French tourists in London. Does gender enter the equation ? I haven't actively spoken French for years, but I knew exactly what you meant. And wh...
