Re: Pre-IB students
I thought that this topic was supposed to focus on Pre-IB students!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Current Day pupils fees are c £13K for 11-13 year olds and £17K for 13-18. Unlike your previous poster I do not believe that the Foundation should ever consider fee remission for day pupils. Surely it is evolution...

Re: Does anybody know when the results will be posted after the
Exams taken - 13th/14th February Marking takes place/assessments are gone through/interviewer and HSMs comments are scoured/ CATS tests are externally marked (never get a turnaround in less than 9 days)/all information is collated and digested/a few are tested late due to change of circumstances/mee...

Re: Early Lent Half Term
This is a most fascinating discussion.
I am greatly intrigued by the views expounded.
I wonder which model parents and Old Blues feel will be in place in 2015.
Evolution v revolution?

Re: Are we alone?
Enough already!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When I attended C.H. (66-73) there was a specific policy in place that introduced circa 10 boys a year at LE level. This has fallen into abeyance over the decades. We actually take 56 foundation boys and 56 foundation girls at yr 7 (+ some non-foundationers). This means ...

Re: Are we alone?
The hiding behind a "get a quick fix of dough" to paper over the temporary cracks does little to hide the desire of a few to admit day children to C.H. As the former Head of a school which had boarders and day pupils I can tell you it is very difficult indeed to keep away dis/mistrust and ...

Dear TrueBlue
I couldn't have (or should I say "wouldn't have") put it any better myself.
Noel, thank you.

Re: Are we alone?
The school's policy on spaces remains the same. We will attempt to fill these places at the next convenient moment in the school year. We try to avoid topping up at Easter, so our main energies are directed towards September and January for Alternative Points of Entry. For information and accuracy t...

Re: GCSE options
Might I respectfully request that all speculation ceases until you have received the appropriate information. This change has come about following long consultations. I am certain that the statement from the Director of Studies, which will have been agreed by the Head Master, will make all clear. PS...

Re: 6 Nations
Methinks Brian Moore had it right when he said that the paying public should demand a refund. The law tinkerers have just about made the 2009 version of Rugby Union the most dull in my lifetime - everyone strung out across the pitch and endless forwards bashing into each other has made the game a mi...

Re: Hopefull year 7 parent
491 children took the exam. 271 boys and 220 girls. This is the first year for five years when there has been such a disparity in the number of applicants. We will be inviting 120 boys and 120 girls to the residential exams in January. All aspects of a child's need, performance and potential are tak...

Re: Hopefull year 7 parent
Although I appreciate that the wait is agonising, I confirm that the results should be received by 1st December. As I said at Fulham, whilst singing in the rain, please do NOT telephone for results until after that date.
