Re: Spam Knows My Innermost Anxieties

Munch, you need to understand the reason behind the fact the spam mail knows how to target you! Part of it comes from the use of your store cards - Tesco, Sainsbugs etc. Another lot comes from your credit cards (I have a bad credit rating so am not allowed one, although I get about 15 a day offering...

Re: Settles

Wow - you boys really did get the good stuff!!! LOL ! We had nothing remotely like a settle - we had a little wooden tuck area/box in 5's sited on the wall near the cloakroom, where we could put our jam, sweets, and another place in the back of the house (dining room, next to the 5th form study) whe...

Re: Hertford photos

ok I am back in the frame after being out for a long time - sadly due to one persons words. No need to name and shame. I have some photo's of us from April this year - sadly not that many! For some reason I seemed too often to try to get a picture, only to find out it was all blurred (the old MS is ...

Re: weekends

On two Sunday mornings every term, we got an in-house breakfast, which was a bit of a treat and consisted of pains-au-chocolats and proper coffee and hot chocolate (not just the stuff that came out of the machines in the dining hall) and some eggs, beans, bacon etc. It was always a really nice trea...

Re: First Day.....Last Day

First day - no idea, completely blank except still worried that I'd have to cut my very long hair (I'd read too many girls comics). It stayed long, but since I'd never really done my own hair before, I remember plaiting it took forever and I had to learn some new hairstyles. Last day 4th July , ver...

Re: weekends

I guess with each new Headmistress a few changes were made - After DRW we had Miss Tucker she left a couple of years after me, and Miss Morrison became head - so I can see that each had their own ideas of ho...

Mrs Dawson - Art Mistress - she had a daughter (Fiona Dawson) who was in 2's but was a DAY GIRL!! The only one ever as far as I know at Hertford! I didn't know that! The only girl I remember having a parent work at CH (Hertford) was the daughter of Nurse Chugg - she wasn't a day girl though and was...

OK - I am ready for the men in white suits now.... I've got the white coat (well , it is slightly off white) and I'm sure I have cricket whites somewhere but I'm sure you don't need my ministrations :D :D :D As for the computer - use what you need, forget the rest. I used to teach Word (the Microso...
