I'm with Hendrik on this. If CH wants to become something it was not founded to be, then it should stop promoting itself on values it no longer believes in? Bob Rae was something like second master when I got to CH. He always looked quite scary!

The top brass were Poulton, Rae, Cairncross and Sillett. Now that was a formidable team! Well ... Poulton wasn't exactly formidable but you know what I mean!

well, we'll just let them do whatever they want then ...

either we care about the school and will be concerned about it's future, in which case we'll voice our opinions; or we will leave the school to go whatever way it wants and cut our ties with it.

Neil Fleming has taken loads of good photos of CH. There are some on the web (but I'd have to search for the exact location!).

I think the cheap effect jibe is unnecessary, I thought it was an original cover, better than the normal photo-montage effect.

CH pupils seem quite capable of seeinf beyond income and looking at the person not their parents bank balance. It is also somewhat unfair to assume that pupils whose parents can afford to pay a fee of £6-9K a year should necessarily undermine the ethos of the school. A number of pupils at CH wer...

I have read comments elsewhere about staff being evicted, and Horsham District Council's relationship with C.H. not being all that it might be. I guess that's coming from me. we had trades in the 80-90s, but can't really remember what they involved, just cleaning up and other tedious chores.

As for raising money, it is important to realise that the school costs millions to run and income is needed to supplement the income from the Foundation. I am not fearful of day pupils as long as they are integrated into the school carefully. After all, many of the best schools in the UK can and do...
