Re: Farting
I interviwed a bloke once for a role as Audit Manager on a Government contract; as was my habit then I asked him to tell me something fascinating about himself, he replied "I'm 47 and I still find farting hilarious." Needless to say he got the job...

Re: Ross and Brand.
"Infantile and crude" - bung in cynical and it just about sums up my sense of humour which was forged during my years at CH; seems to me I may only develop a sense of moral outrage and indignation later in life- tho' I hope not. Frankly I was bored by the coverage after a couple of days.

Re: Neil Paknadel
Does anyone else remember Neil Paknadel in the very first stage preformance of Joseph and his Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat - in the Prep Hall about 1970 I was a "Second Treble" in that production; I think JDS was the Producer / Director - we certainly held some of the reheasals in his LH...

Re: Neil Paknadel
Neil Paknadel was a third former in LHB when I joined CH in 1969; he used to hang around with Tod Ramos. I saw him on University Challenge in the mid 70's. Someone told me at the time that Neil's Grandfather invented Marmite - isn't it extraordinary what you can remember once prompted?

Collective noun for smokers [apart from 'smokers']?
It seems to me I pass through clusters of smokers outside every enclosed public space since the ban - I can't escape them. It seems to me a suitable collective noun is now required to describe them so when I'm feeling charitable I refer to them as a 'plume' of smokers, on bad days I refer to them as...

Re: Current reading matter
I'm reading A Short Walk in the Hindu Kush by Eric Newby, an excellent read on the commute home. The preface by Evelyn Waugh is worth the purchase price alone.
