I haven't had that for yonks ! LUVVERLEY ! Yeuch. I got taken out one night in Frankfurt (when I was ...

I grew up almost expecting to go, my OB father was very keen on our going. My brother, Peter, had stated in Prep A when I was just 5. When the younger of my two brothers (a year older than me) failed to get in there was gloom and dismay all around. Peter had a BSB Presentation, John and I took Almo...

Just to clarify for non-Hertford Old Blue members of this Forum. 'Mons' = Monitresses. The Senior Girls in each House, those who led the procession as we marched from our Houses (in Midget's day they were called 'Wards') up to Dining Hall for our meals. For Gemma's benefit, monitors /esses are what...

By marching last you could scoot back across the square when 2s were marching, or even 7s and still be in place in time to march. It also meant that we didn't have to sit and wait in Dining Hall for everyone else! At Horsham is the order of houses constant or does it change? Having two doors, every...

My rates are about 50% of those in Guildford so I have no idea how they do it, but wish the local government in the UK would take a leaf out of the Spanish book. In France I have a separate rubbish disposal charge (which I think is a flat fee) of about £30 per annum tied on the bottom of the rates...

so what's the problem?ben ashton wrote:is in my opinion a ridiculous time to be woken up by means of a refuse collection vehicle.
When I was employed by someone else I got up around 7.50am. Now I start work (in a dressing gown) at 6.30 am. It would bve useful to have a wake up call!

They tried to persuade me to invest in a note counter instead, but I don't want that. WQhat's the problem? Back in the days when we counted everything t...

Re: Josephine Maude (Hertford 1963 - 69, 6's) [STILL LOOKING
I am looking for Josephine Maude, Princess of Cool, Hertford 1963 - 69, 6's. Another impressive plait, if I remember correctly? Always washed in Linc-O-Lin Beer shampoo (little beige plastic beer-barrel squeezy container) for extra shine! No plaits any longer I'm afraid, and she's changed her brand...
