Music Lessons - not a pupil

Evening,

Just wondered if anyone knew if CH or any of the teachers offer private music lessons. My daughter (5) is looking to learn the violin and thought it maybe a good place to learn.

Thanks

Re: Matrons

I was very fortunate to have good matrons both in Lamb B and in Peele A. To me they were always that independent person who would listen and were almost 'mother figures' if you were ever feeling a bit low or homesick. It was nice that they were very less formal than talking to a teacher and for many...

Re: Wendy Fryer

She was married to NTF and lived just around the Horsham area. After CH she worked for West Sussex County Council for a long time.

Re: Attorney General's reference

Richard, The awareness sites that you refer to, are these legal pages that publish cases or are they more understandable for a lay person about current judgement and the rationale behind sentencing. I only work with Planning QCs and having attended a few appeals find how judgement have come about to...

Re: Freemasons and questions to answer

I think you are giving the power of Freemasons too much credit. Although RDS is a Mason, I don’t think Poulton was. I think Poulton was a member of the tiddlywinks club, so maybe we should look at them and the link between playing tiddlywinks and covering up abuse?? Was Husband , Dobbie or any other...

Re: CH videos

Don't suppose there are any videos of when the school was on Songs of Praise in 1995/1996?

Re: Should the forum be behind a registration wall?

Sorry, just to take this back to the original point.

Yes I think it should be behind a registration wall. My concern is that Joe Bloggs who maybe looking at this due to the recent trials may take comments made by members out of context or not fully understand any debate that may occur on here

Re: Husband & Dobbie - VERDICTS

As it turns out that Dobbie was very predatory, I’ll be surprised this will be the last of it. As it would be hard to believe that after all his offending nothing happened between 1996 and when he left in 2000/2001

Pure speculation though

Re: Underachieving at CH

I didn't do well at CH, as I wasn't particularly academic and it was very much a culture of pen to paper and learning in one style. By mutual consent i was asked to leave / agreed to leave at the end of my GE. I was very much an underachiever at CH. The school did teach me a good few set of skills t...

Apologies, I probably wrote that too hastily without considering the facts about witnesses that you've both raised.

Re: The trial of James Andrew Husband and Gary Dobbie

How depressing is that. I know there is still more to come but so far 19 people whose parents trusted the school to protect their children have had to relive an awful ordeal that should never of happened
