Re: Swine flu - school closing for a week

My daughter didn't get up to go to church yesterday morning, got home she was still asleep and I was very :? :? :? thinking here we go she's faking it after having been 100% fine all week. Anyway woke her up at 1pm (previous attempts by me and the cats having failed to work) and no she was clearly j...

Re: Swine flu - school closing for a week

Good to hear your youngest is slowly improving hope everyone else suffering copes okay. My daughter is currently fine but was unwell quite a few weeks ago so perhaps there is hope that she's already had it but very mildly. Not sure how I'll be looking after 3 or 4 sick children at once if the worst ...

Re: Swine flu - school closing for a week

I'm quite excited about having an extra week with my daughter at home. I won't be feeling like that if she comes down with it and is ill though! Just as well I've still not got a job though! I wonder if I can't get a part refund on fees though     I hope those already ill make a ...

Re: New Official CH Parents Forum

I mean £700k equity, that if they sold their house they would have £700k after any existing mortgage was paid off......... Having that sort of equity and thinking yourself "poor" is sort of a bit :? to me. There again I was never one to be impressed with keeping up with the Jones'. I am ...

Re: New Official CH Parents Forum

Sorry can't copy and paste. but these new spaces are direct entry at a fixed price ie so middle/upper class parents who are paying large/full fees but wanting their children to go to a school with a mixed class base. I am still a bit :? about parents who have £700k equity in their home not being ab...

Re: New Official CH Parents Forum

I'm probably going against the grain but I think having children attending CH from all walks of life, including those whose parents can afford full fees/higher fees is a good thing. Of course I would never want it to rise to the percentages where a major stake of those attending are paying full fees...

Re: Best wishes to all the new second form

my understanding is that there are lockers (that lock) in the music rooms for instruments and you are sstrongly advised to use them?

Unfortunately my daughter isn't permitted to take her drum kit

Re: Best wishes to all the new second form

I am very aware that my daughter may find this forum, I really wish we could have a private parents only thread!!!

I hope all you "child sick" parents will be okay soon. I think it was about 6 weeks before I stopped crying most days.

Re: Best wishes to all the new second form

I seem to remember we got one phone call from the house mistress to let us know things were okay and then perhaps after a week or so all the girls got to phone home from her flat so if the pupils got upset they weren't alone to cope with it. I did also receive letters from her, after that first leav...

Re: Best wishes to all the new second form

It brings all the memories flooding back. Fortunately/Unfortunately I don't think my younger ones will go to CH although my just 4 year old keeps telling me that she's going to "borbing cool" when she's big (she has speech delay) I'm not even sure I'm ready for her to start reception next ...
