Re: Relationships - Grecian / UF

Stopped? Yep, unless school policy has changed you both got your marching orders. As for allowed? Well, as said above, it's a grey area. Unless you're advocating a totalitarian regime, best option IMO is ensure there is open access to information and education on sexual health, consent, and sexuali...

Re: What were your thoughts about the theatre?

It was a great palce. i was at CH from 1978-1984 and perhaps witnessed the wonder years of Duncan Noel-Patton productions. I even acted in 3 myself. It was indeed a massive stage and depsite the awful red benches and red surroundings, the quality of the performances on stage soon put to rest any po...

Re: What were your thoughts about the theatre?

Does the Prep Hall still get used for productions of any kind? By the time I was at CH (1992), the prep hall had been converted into two classrooms (mr Stannard - RE and Mr Fleming (archaeology). When they started renovating the boarding houses (2001-2010?), the prep block was used as a ‘decant’ bo...

Re: What were your thoughts about the theatre?

The seating was awful when I was first at the school in the early 90s - it was replaced with much more comfortable seating in around 96 I think. The ‘moveable’ galleries at the back of the stage were fixed down due to health and safety but they have sorted them out now so they move pneumatically I t...

I remember Snook a little, from Norfolk broads trips. My memories of him are that he sailed fast and wound up JDS bY sailing faster than him!

I think it’s their website that I’ve never liked the design of that seems to hide the link you are trying to find!

jtaylor wrote: Sun Jul 07, 2019 10:16 pm Why does Eton make headlines for this:-
Eton College to offer 12 free sixth form places https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/education-48902808
when CH has been doing WAY more than this for years?
Maybe it’s because Eton is on a massive pr exercise as they are worried about the next PM?

Re: Roger Martin - trial

I am very saddened by this. Martin never taught me and retired soon after I started at ch but he was always well regarded; I wonder if this is the tip of the iceberg with him though. Just a brief query; the boy he abused was 10 - but there weren’t any 10 year olds at CH surely at that time, the prep...

Yes, he taught me maths on my 3rd form which was 93-84
