Rather than 're-branding' as Chris Brickel puts it - wouldnt it be more honest to close the Scouts down and then let him start something else up.
I cant see how you can 're-brand' a National Entity like a Scout Group otherwise!!

Re: Does anyone on this forum go to church?
I recently attended a funeral in Salisbury Cathedral, a particularly sad event as the deceased was only in her mid 40's and only a few weeks ago had been given a good five years to live. I have to say it was one of the strangest and the most camp thingsI have ever witnessed, anywhere. Although the ...

Regrettably, God, being omniscient, has a choice ---- Since we mortals are not so omniscient, we tend to believe that miracles occur, when we want them to ----- Re the Bish of Durham, and his disbeliefs --- I was in Ephesus, being shown round "Mary's House" by a Muslim Scholar. He said &q...

Re: Does anyone on this forum go to church?
The sad thing is that people will assume that God wished them to die or that they weren't genuinely ill.
Neither of these positions is one that I recognise - neither do I see anything of the God that I know in this article.

Re: Tower of London
I wonder if I can persuade DS to try this out next holidays.....I've never been to the Tower! Certainly go - It's a great experience. If possible at night, check out the Ceremony of the Keys. That's also very moving. Tickets for the Ceremony of the Keys need to be applied for - in the summer some w...

Re: Old Blue Clearout
Was there not a special note that when played by the organ vibrated in the Head Master's stall at the far end of the Chapel? I remember Corks mentioning this at Choir Practice once. Like all pipe organs, it can occasionally "cipher" - sound one note continuously even though nobody is pres...

Re: New blog on Christ's Hospital
LHB Tuck room door was only ever locked in my day as a punishment when the entire house was deprived of their tuck for a weekend once. That was when the tuckroom was the room opposite the base of the fire escape stairs. Just as well it was when I was there - my tuck would never have lasted until th...

Re: New blog on Christ's Hospital
Just a little out of the box thinking - I suppose that the 'author' (and it is described as a 'story') is actually writing 'fact' rather than 'fiction' and having just re-read this 'blog' it could be seen as being a little short on facts that can be checked... for instance no actual description of ...
