Re: Residential assessment?

A very simple answer to the question about the majority at Yr 9 entry being either full-fee payers or from overseas is that this is not the case.
I would also like to thank the last writer "Fairy" for her open and honest viewpoint. This is an amazing school.

Re: Residential assessment?

I am genuinely disappointed to learn of your news. As I have said previously there is no more scrupulously fair process in the land. It is heartbreaking at this end also to have to turn children down, but we only have a fixed number of places. I can assure you that there is no pattern emerging as yo...

Most of what has been said is accurate, but in addition there were some group tasks which were assessed in house and the interview is split in two - general and suitability for boarding. All of the assessments have been collated and the Panel meets over the next two days to determin...

Re: Admissions 2015

The Initial Assessment has indeed been altered for this year. There will be a computer-based test only lasting about 80 minutes. The past papers do indeed refer to the January Residential exams.

Re: Congratulations To Joe Launchbury

Dear Rockfreak
You are not "way off".
Geoff did indeed have an England trial but sadly was never successful in gaining an England cap.
Much research was undertaken on the topic.
I was lucky enough to meet Geoff in Queensland during the 1994 rugby tour. Top man!

Josh is training to become a priest, I think, on the Isle of Man.
He is planning to come to Old Blues Day.

Success for U13 Rugby Seven at Nationals

Just a quick word to let you know that The CH Under 13 Rugby Sevens team reached the final of the Junior tournament this year for the first time since 2003. They won their group on Monday and progressed through the knock-out rounds to face RGS High Wycombe in the final on Tuesday. Despite our best e...

Re: 2014 Admissions

I can assure you each individual case was looked at meticulously.
I am sorry to learn of the disappointments of some.
Quite a high proportion of siblings have been offered places.

Re: 2014 Admissions

215 for Yr 7
50 for Yr 9

"Heaving" I suspect as we seemd to have many more whole families than usual.
