Re: It's still tough

No sooner will I see mine on Sat than she is off on CCF camp. Sniff! Still, at least it will stop her being bored for another week. Will have to keep her occupied by sending her out on Kleeneze deliveries for the holidays!

Re: Not finding it difficult

I know and I agree! Not that I miss your son, of course....you know what I mean! x I have heard more from my DD this week while she is in Germany than I do normally, as she has access to fbook from there. Weird really.

Re: Not finding it difficult

My older DD is at CH and loves it. She has nearly completed three years now. She was desperate to go to CH. My younger DD will be applying for 2014 and I do feel a bit mean that - actually - I know now that it will be awful but good as well. I completely understand the comments on here. Younger DD i...

Ohhhh......I do that quite often, much to the amusement of my children. Not sure it makes me gifted though!

Re: sports day

Yes - new friend - it was a lovely day! So funny that we were the first two there as well. Sorry not to respond before now but have not had any time in the last few weeks.

Thank you for that - I have also lost my info! Can anyone tell me where the athletics track is? I do not recall ever seeing it!

Re: Girls' cricket?

I suspect that for every girl who has expressed an interest in cricket, there might well be a boy who is bored to tears by it and, given a choice, would much rather be out on the tennis courts. Hear, hear! I, for one, know of a young man who would gladly swap his place on cricket for doing somethin...

Re: Girls' cricket?

I know that Moira House in Eastbourne (does it still exist?) used to play as my cousin went there and she played for Sussex. Do Brighton College have girls' cricket? I will consult Mr Messenger. Thanks for the advice!
England have a thriving ladies' team, I believe.

Girls' cricket?

My DD, who loves rounders and has been in the 1st team for the last 3 years, is worried about what will happen "after rounders", as (according to The Blue) there is no team above U15 level. She is just outside squad level for athletics, not fond of tennis and is an adequate swimmer, but wo...

Re: It's still tough

I got some gobbledeegook from my county council employers (you know who they are) about pension contribs. No idea what they meant and with the peanuts I earn from them it is hardly worth seeing an accountant to find out! Doesn't seem fair (still) that Ch do not take the contribs into account as we h...
