Matron is of course the same in both pics! Miss Rawson! She was sooo formidable on the surface but like most matrons lovely underneath! I cant remember the name of the matron that replaced her at Mid A after she retired...

there was the infamous triple toss.. performed by Titus Hill i think?! Titus and Bruce McGowan used to teach me drum majoring and i even managed to take the small band(cant remember name) out one lunchtime... never been so nervous in all my life.. completely cocked it up!!

not only do i remember the "peg-leg" but also that he chain smoked and used to drop fag ash into your hair.. AND... regardless of how you asked your hair to be styled he cut it how he wanted... at least there was no conversation about where one had gone on holiday!

def remember flu pills and think there was even an A or B pill to see which one was more effective! Doc Hoskins was renowned for his aspirin prescriptions to cure almost any ailment! i just remember the smell of the infirmary... blurrrrhh
