Re: Now it reaches Eton

I can't recall a phone between Col A and B.
I regularly used the one in the corridor by the dining hall.

Neither do I recall ever getting permission to go to the library which I did often. Teddy Edwards (?) was in charge of the library.

Re: Robert Sillett MBE of Billingshurt

Bob Sillett somehow managed to mention his (Sillett’s) OBE and lifelong service to the community in the littl...

"...are not 'town planner' and 'Milton Keynes' mutually exclusive?" It was only meant as a joke - please don't take it seriously. David  It's an interesting point isn't it, this business of planned versus unplanned. A grid system or a system that evolves organically? Or maybe just ...

Re: I.A.R. Christie, Lamb A 1956-63

This is a most readable and sincere obituary notice which, for reasons I do not understand, is posted under 'Ask the CHOBA board'. Should it not be moved to somewhere more appropriate where more people might read it? I mean no disrespect, but with reference to the girlfriend mentioned at the end, a...

Re: prison releases

Do people think any of the CH prisoners will be released early? Their release isn't 'imminent' however as elderly prisoners, they are at risk from coronovirus. The first prisoner to sadly die the UK was an elderly sex offender, very similar demographic. Honest answer LHA ? No Comment. Certain convi...
