I'm HAPPY. I'm demob happy, I have just come in from work, I'm starting my annual leave tomorrow and flying to NZ on Friday. So today I'm HAPPY - by Sunday when I reach Christchurch I'll probably be Sleepy!

Seen this morning at the local surgery a new touch screen, the notice above said 'Please arrive yourself for your appointment'

I hadn't intended sending anyone else for my appointment! We have not, yet, had our fingerprints recorde but presumably it will happen soon.

As I mentioned previously, I attended the ceremony at Buckingham Palace on Friday, at the end of which I was very close to the Band. One thing I observed which puzzled me was that some of the boys ( maybe girls too, but I didn't notice ) had TWO buckles on their broadie girdles. Were you ashamed to...

As far as I recall, there were 9 in my year in 6s and 7 of them came from SE London - around Lewisham. Of course it was still the time when there were LCC places/scholars whatever. (Iwas one of the two exceptions!)

Thanks for the pictures, John, it looks that as ever the band drew gasps of admiration from those not used to seeing it. I'm sure they did the school proud, but why, oh why, was the parade such a shambles?
