Big positive thoughts for B's future from me too; I know how difficult it has been for you both. Have sent you a message on FB

Re: 60+ years re-union
DD tells me that cloaks are available if required (rain etc) but make the uniform very bulky and heavy (and straight out of Hogwarts)!

Re: 60+ years re-union
One thing which struck me, was the fact that some girls were not wearing yellow stockings ---- but a sort of dark grey blue. When I enquired of some of them, I was told that "Seniors" don't have to wear the yellow ---- because they "Didn't like the Uniform" ------- I thanked the...

Re: 60+ years re-union
Delighted to see both the photos and to see that the girls now use the same oldfashioned uniform (except for the cut-away button-grecian style coat collar), but - was that normal hair or was it red dye behind Louise? Double ouch! - Drum major in sunglasses? Those are his eyes, I promise you

Re: Day Pupils - announcement pending
As far as I could make out, these pupils will be included in the 7 and it's taking effect from September! I don't think weekly boarding would be an option at all as the day pupils will still have to be back for Saturday school and presumably compulsory Chapel on a Sunday - hardly worth the effort of...

Re: Day Pupils - announcement pending
It is my understanding (and this is second hand from my child who was at the HM's announcement this morning) that for every 7 new pupils there will be one full fee payer and one day pupil from the 2nd form upwards. The day pupils will be expected to be in school from 8am until fairly late into the e...

Re: Kate Davidson RIP
I am so sad to hear this news; she was one of the kindest ladies I have ever met.
My daughter was very poorly and hospitalised from CH a few years ago and Kate made a horrible and distressing situation so much easier to deal with.
My thoughts go out to her family and may she rest in peace.

Re: Does anybody know when the results will be posted after the
Goodness, I'm not sure because everything's been delay this year. When my children did their entrance exam in the first week of January, we received the results by the first week of February on both occasions but perhaps because of the delay they will be speedier in getting the acceptance letters ou...

Re: Early Lent Half Term
Fortunately for us YadaYada, I only work part time so picking the children up isn't a problem but my very first thought was how inconvenient it was going to be for a lot of people. Furthermore I can understand that they want to get the school looking all shiny and polished but I think it's outrageou...

Re: Lent Term Snow
The exams that are happening this week will be repeated in the summer series. The exam boards can't really cancel them as plenty of schools are funcitoning and plenty of students are ready to sit. Those that miss out this week due to the weather won't be disadvantaged....they will sit them in the s...
