Re: Hertford hygeine, hierarchies and heartache (from CH Forum)

Mmmmm....I think it's called "favouritism" when it happens - in families too.

Alex you must have responded to my thoughts cos I was about to send you a text to check your whereabouts and wellbeing! Good to have you dropping in.... You met Mick, my other half? He is real East Yorkshire, sometimes at first I was at a loss conversationally around his family and friends but you s...

Re: Andrew Wakefield

Include amongst "some things which can harm you" drugs both prescription and over-the-counter. Any medical procedure carries a degree of risk about which patients - or the parents of patients - are not always fully informed. When the patients are babies/small children - or animals - who ha...

Re: Andrew Wakefield

There is masses of information out there. From the allopathic drugs-and-surgery through to laying on of hands, keeping our bodies healthy can be a full-time project. We need to keep our eyes and ears open (though not so open that our brains fall out....) and I for one would never dismiss homoeopathy...

Andrew Wakefield

I see he has now been vindicated by his studies being independently reproduced - funny the announcement (quietly!) of this should follow so hard on the heels of his latest public flogging.

I smell a rat or two

Re: Do you or an OB you know live in Yorkshire?

Just in case WHAT Kerren....?? Since I have reached the age where I only do things I want to do, I'm hoping public knowledge of my approximate whereabouts will not cause too many unwelcome consequences <G> All animals/birds in residence keeping pretty well at the mo. Senior dog Jess seems to have ma...

Re: Cats, dogs, pets and other animals....

Hi All A great many of the arguments against pets could also apply to children - noisy, smelly, expensive, tying, destructive, cause of worry and heartache etc etc etc But I wouldn't want to have missed out on having either in my life as they have between them given oodles of pleasure over the years...

Re: We have adopted.........................

I agree Caroline - raw fed dogs (and cats) smell so sweet compared with their junk-food counterparts. My poor old Jess is panting off and on but despite her advanced age NO halitosis and her teeth are pearly white! So sorry to hear about Bernie, he will be missed I know. They all leave pawprints on ...
