Bother - I'd set aside this Sunday for that very purpose.sejintenej wrote:You, Kate and cj, are also prohibited from parachuting on a Sunday in Florida whilst I can jump as many times as I like; Florida under Judd Bush (the President's brother) is sexist in that respect.

If said pub is going to be full of YOBs , is there an alternative watering-hole where aged OBs can/will meet, or will there be a roped-off area in the Green Man for us & our zimmer frames ?Kate wrote:It is indeed Friday 22nd Sept.
The Green Man is the Wetherspoons at Bank tube (so not far from Cannon Street station).
I'll try and get some directions/ a map posted on the CHA website.

You might find these directions helpful, even though I'm not attending.
My Zimmer Frame didn't pass its M.O.T.

I note the review states it as 'noisy' and 'a pub to avoid !!'

That's probably something to do with it being a Wetherspoons and cheap and thus attracting the type of clientele who are maybe more concerned about the price of a pint than others - especially in the City. But then I've only been to a couple of dozen pubs in the City of varying styles and prices so my research isn't extensive.J.R. wrote:I note the review states it as 'noisy' and 'a pub to avoid !!'
Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.

That explains why Great Plum is all in favour, then ?Deb GP wrote:That's probably something to do with it being a Wetherspoons and cheap and thus attracting the type of clientele who are maybe more concerned about the price of a pint than others - especially in the City.
