Carol Concert : 13 December : St. Sepulchre without Newgate

Post by kerrensimmonds »

Bookings for the Carol Concert are now open. Technically the published deadline for response is 7 October but if you need flexibility with that then I am sure the CHA Office will be accommodating.

People should contact Zoe Mitchell, the CHA Manager, to purchase ticket(s) (£5 a head) : zm@christs-hospital.org.uk (or 01403 246618)

Zoe is also assembling the Choir and instrumental ensemble so anyone wishing to sing or play (brass, and provided you are still playing!) you need to contact her to sign up and tell her what voice you sing/instrument you play, so that she can keep a tally on the balance of voices/instruments. Choir/instrumental rehearsal will commence at 4.30 but Adrian Bawtree quite understands that this time might be a little early for some people (hopefully not too many). The Concert starts at 6.00 and there will be seasonal refreshment afterwards, in the Church.

You would need to ask Zoe about dress code for performers.

Zoe is also arranging the coach from Horsham to London and return – so again if you wish to take advantage of that please contact Zoe direct.

If there's going to be something afterwards, it should probably be for everyone.

I think last year's do was instigated by The Newgate Club.

There IS an event immediately afterwards..........mince pies and mulled wine in the Church itself, for everyone (though I guess there will be soft drinks for children). This is intended to overcome the problems with the wine bar last year - overpriced, and not available to children.
After the mulled wine and mince pies I guess people still wanting to stay on will gather in their various groupings and go off and do their own thing.....

That sounds good to me even if I can't stand mulled wine

I am hoping to come with daughter ( a wonderful alto) who will be 18 on the 11th of December. She wants to know why I spend all my time on the forum so I hope to show her.
