If you have are organising an event that you would like to be featured on the site, please email the details to webeditor@chassociation.org

The Old Blue
The latest issue of The Old Blue magazine has been sent to the printers and should be hitting your doormat by the end of the month. Highlights for this issue include a special section on Hertford, reports of successful Founder’s Day dinners across the globe and a review of the Carol Concert with several photographs. Do let us know what you think of the publication, and if you have an article you would like to submit for a future issue, email it through to obeditor@chassociation.org or post it to us at the CHA Office.

Theatre News
Christ’s Hospital Concert Band is in concert on Sunday 4th March in Big School, from 3pm. It should prove to be a very entertaining afternoon, with light classics, solos, film music and much, much more. A programme for all the family!
Book your tickets for these and other theatre events, such as the upcoming Bard-Fest on the 6th and 7th of February by contacting the Box Office on boxoffice@christs-hospital.org.uk or telephone 01403 247434.

CH as an Olympic Training Ground
Olympic fever will be stepping up a gear over the next few months as the London Olympiad begins in 2008. Our excellent facilities and stunning location make us an ideal choice for athletes coming to England to compete on the world stage.
In January we submitted a bid offering the School’s facilities as a recommended Pre-Olympics Training Camp to London 2012.
This is an exciting opportunity to attract elite sportsmen and women to Christ’s Hospital – and hopefully attract extra funding for our sports facilities through donations and sponsorships too.
Can you help, or do you know anyone who would like to help us? Perhaps you know an elite athlete or diplomat with contacts in National Olympic Committees in the UK and across the world who could help us bring a team to Christ’s Hospital.
Help us to get involved. Contact Carol Bewick at the Counting House, or email: cxb@christs-hospital.org.uk

Young Old Blues Work Towards Their Mission
The Pole to Pole Manpowered Adventure led by Rob Gauntlet and James Hooper is now just 1 month away. The two Old Blues, who previously planted the CH flag at the top of Everest, are working hard to gain the necessary sponsorship as well as the rigorous training to complete this amazing world first. If you want to find out more about their plans and how you can help, contact the 180 Degrees office now on 01403 249836, email the expedition manager; howard@180degrees.co.uk or visit the website at http://www.180degrees.co.uk

Keep Us In Touch
If you are in touch with other Old Blues, do forward this email on so we can keep in touch with as many of you as possible. Over the years we do unfortunately lose contact with people, but we are always happy to hear from Old Blues, so if you know of anyone who would like to be kept in touch and receive the email newsletter and Old Blue magazine in future, or if you received this email from a friend and would like to register directly, do get in touch with the CHA Office so that we can add you to our database.

Warmest regards,

Zoë
