Yes, archived (hence invisible) by the request of the original author.....

Took a while for people to notice though!

Was anybody asked if they minded their verse being removed? It would have been nice if they had! :)

Bit like swiping another kid's exercise book at school really without owning up. It happens at Oliver's comprehensive, I believe, but I can't remember behaviour like that at CH. I'm not blaming you JT - I guess monitors (I mean moderators) have to do things like this from time to time. Perhaps somebody had written something naughty - if so, I didn't see it. Perhaps we could have the thread back minus any offensive contributions???? Please.

Hmmm, are threads 'owned' by the people who start them, then? Seems a bit unfair on everyone else who contributes.

Was it archived for a reason?

Is it going to be published? ;)

Maybe we should start a limericks 2 thread...

Yes, publish the lot in the next Old Blue!

I hope John asked Helen's permission to 'borrow' her limerick for the current mag........

I think this is going to confuse people, so perhaps a little clarification may be in order.

Is it the case that someone who starts a thread can order the removal of everybody's contributions, not just their own?

Seems a little draconian to me.

Yes I did, and she even gave me a slight amendment and the name she wanted it credited too.
