Anything that doesn't fit anywhere else, but that's still CH related.

Mrs Kathleen Watts, Peele Matron 1949-1964, dies aged 104

All Peele Old Blues of this vintage will be sorry to hear that Kathleen has died. Her son Martin was in Thornton. Some of us were at her 100th birthday bash in the Court Room Autumn 2002, and each house subsequently purchased a bench seat suitably inscribed which now rest in front of each house (I am told that in true Housey style the benches are swapped round so that A's is in front of B and vice versa - very post-Modern).

There will be a Memorial Service to Kathleen Watts at 2.30 pm on Thursday 22nd March 2007 at Rudgwick Church.

Rudgwick is between Horsham and Guildford on the A281 Turn off into Church Street at Bucks Green and find the church behind the King's Head Inn at the top end of the village. please park in the street, not the pub car park. there will be a gathering at Ellens Green Hall after the service. all Old Blues and members of the CH community who knew Kathleen are welcome, along with her many friends in Rudgwick.
