Welcome New CHA Board Members

Post by Zoe Mitchell »

Steve Webb, Chairman of the CHA is delighted to announce the election of Rebecca Ramsay-Smith (LH B 99-00, Gr E 00-01) to the CHA Advisory Board, and to further announce that David Turner (Pe B 48-53) has been co-opted onto the Board for an initial one year term.

After leaving Christ’s Hospital in 2001 Rebecca had a gap year in which she worked in London before travelling for 10 months around Australasia and South Africa. On returning to the UK, Rebecca studied Psychology at Exeter University, and graduated in 2005 with a 2:1.

For the last year and a half Rebecca has been living and working in London as a Recruitment Consultant which she has found to be a tough but incredibly rewarding job. She is looking forward to using her knowledge and skills to support all Old Blues in the development of their careers.

Group Captain David Turner spent 35 years in the Royal Air Force, having joined direct from school in 1953. His career included flying duties as a navigator, followed by many ground appointments, and following his retirement in 1988 he took up the appointment of Bursar at Wellingborough School in Northamptonshire. He spent 10 years serving on the Poole Bench as a magistrate, and now resides with his wife Margaret at Bluecoat Pond, Christ’s Hospital.

They have two daughters, who both attended Hertford, and four grandchildren. David is also a member of the BSB and a Donation Governor, and is looking forward to having an active role in supporting the CHA.

The CHA Advisory Board are looking forward to further developing the activities and services of the CHA to Old Blues, and welcome their new members as they take up this challenge.
