I remember meeting Gerald Davies at Horsham in the '70s. He was a real character, as was his wife, who I remember being a rather feisty and good-looking woman - am sure there was never a dull moment in their house! He taught my elder brother English too (not sure if he taught my younger brother) who was in Mid B from whenever he left Leigh Hunt B until '78!
