On another note I have just dug my plate out and it appears that 2000 of these were made. I, like Maria, have a small certificate with my name on it. I also discovered the programme for the big day which we obviously had to celebrate the occasion.

I actually found my Post-merger plate, and not being one to display such memorabilia, I happily use it for its intended purpose as a plate. I use it for my toast in the morning and have been doing so for 5 years
