Anything that doesn't fit anywhere else, but that's still CH related.

Re Old Blues being 'cheerful and proud'
The 'if' is the word that the crowd
Might ponder a bit--
Still want to submit
For surely dissent is allowed.

As Old Blues believe in the charge
we really should all lead the charge
to check on the way
and at least have a say
as the spending gets overly large

This forum is really quite dull
I think that we all should now mull
the purpose of such
a boring old crutch
for the dull and dim-witted - not much.

(Alright, the rhymes are crap - but what IS the point of this forum? It really is getting quite dull.........)

I guess the point about the forum is to chat about CH...

Can't let this thread die!!!

Just been talking about founder's day at Hertford on another thread so was moved to post here.

The Founder's Day dance was no rave
All girls, and we had to behave
We danced with the staff
In our gym clothes (don't laugh)
Did our Founder King turn in his grave?

On being invited to write lewldy:

The problem with Blues being lewd
Is the fear of being labelled a prude
Should one fail to offend
Those of gentler trend,
Or be crude or just rude in the nude.

(See the thread on mass nudity in the swimming baths)

On our Founder King, girls' dances, immorality and dodgy rhyme:

At dances in Hertford
Young founder King Edward
Would not be allowed
To join in the crowd
And lead the girls bedward
A healthy mind is a sign of a mis-spent youth

Last Sunday imagine my joy
When I met Housey cyclists in Fowey,
The Cornwall Blues Club
Found them in a pub
Eating burgers they seemed to enjoy.

CH rocks?

Post by helen »

So now pupils learn what it takes
To enter the rock music stakes
The subjects that now
My old school will allow
Is amazing. What next for Godsakes?

It seems there's a need for more chat
About CH and topics like that
An e mail came through
Saying, what about you
Adding comments about this or that?

re lurkers

Post by helen »

The lurkers who don't make a post
Could do something more than just coast
They could put a rhyme
On this thread just in time
To prevent the collapse of its host.

There once was a school known as Housey
Whose teachers were always quite drowsey
The breeches were itchy, and the matrons quite bitchy
And the food was tasteless and lousey.

I thankyou....

So Marty has answered the call
He's one old Blue still on the ball
I hope that the rest
Will give of their best
If they have any talent at all.

Dear Helen, What have you got there
(That yellow thing with the black hair)?
It distracts from the rhyme
When I've so little time
And I really dont think it's quite fair.
