Having been at Horsham during the 1987 storm and seeing the devastating aftermath, I am hoping that CH did not suffer too much damage in last nights storm. Anyone know?

Me too. I actually slept through it all, the first I knew of it was when we were woken up by Miss Lindsay, our housemistress.

Glad there wasn't as much damage this time round though.

Personally, I don't think last weeks storm was anywhere as near as bad as the previous 'hurricane'.

I fully agree. In 1987 I lost three trees, this time one smallish branch and the neighbourhood was not badly affected. I did lose two ancient fence panels so I already had replacements waiting for the paint to dry. We are not affected by floods anytime so I don't know about that.

In 1987 I slept through it but these days I get up around 6.30 am so I could see the trees waving.
