I have discovered a biography published last month of an “unknown” OB, LH Gray (1905-65). It contains 4 chaps with plenty about CH, Horsham in the 1920s (out of 14 chaps). The book is expensive (£53), so it seems better to ask your local library to get it, rather than buy it, if you’re interested.
Some details of the book
Book Title: Louis Harold Gray: A Founding Father of Radiobiology
Author: Sinclair Wynchank
Publisher: Springer Publishing
ISBN: 978-3-319-43396-7

More details, including Chap 2 (13 pages, describing his early days in Maine B), are available at: http://www.springer.com/gb/book/9783319433967

Re: A recent book (partly) about CH
Sinclair Wynchank is an OB living in South Africa.
Maybe he has access to cheaper copies.

Re Sinclair Wynchank.
When I corresponded with Sinclair about a month ago he was about to go into hospital (for a second time,) for a month. Suggest hold off contact until it is confirmed he is out of hospital.
If the book is that expensive it must have been privately published.
