One of the press reports said it is expected to last 6 weeks:

Thanks again for the update, Richard.

Having read that article in depth, I could make a couple of comments but will wait to see how the jurors take the evidence when presented.

A lot of things have occurred to me John which will have to wait.

There is one thing that is uncontroversial that I would be interested to know, so that I can understand the chronology.

Husband taught me in the 1974-5 school year. He is 68 now and so he would have been about 24 then. I guess it was his first job as it was his first year at the school.

But when did he leave?

I could ask the CH office direct, but given the present circumstances, it might be considered a bit non PC of me , if you get my drift.

I'm sure I'll be able find out at some stage, or one of the site members might be able to help

The trial started again today at 10.15.

The first witness is now giving evidence so it is definitely up and running.

There was a lot of coverage of the prosecution opening.

Today was taken up with the first prosecution witnesses.

A lazy journalist will cover the prosecution opening (which sets out the case) and then stay away until the jury hears the accused's police interviews when he gives his explanation. If there is nothing else going on they might sit in on the accused's evidence after which they will disappear until the verdict.

It is rare nowadays for a journalist to cover a whole case from start to finish.

Just look at the Cliff Richard vs. the BBC case. Still on-going, but when did we last hear anything about it in the news?

I think Verisona Law went to one of the sentence hearings.

I would be interested to go but it is a bit of a trek. That won't stop me though.

The second witness was sworn to give evidence at 3.07 p.m today.

The first witness started giving evidence early on Monday morning, so a long time.

That is a civil case. Proceedings tend to be technical and rather dry. Also the urgency is less.
