CH A-Level results? Any news??

Anything that doesn't fit anywhere else, but that's still CH related.

CH A-Level results? Any news??

Post by jtaylor »

Any news on the overall A-level results CH Grecians achieved this year?

Any Grecians found out their results yet, and care to share them?

Are A-Levels as tough as they used to be??

I've been working on the clearing phonelines at De Montfort university, and of the 7000+ calls we took on results day, I can assure you that a lot of peoples results were rubbish!
One person had two 'U's, and was asking what course he could do...

2005 Grecians crop :

99% pass rate
80% A and B grades (the previous highest was 65%!)
94% A, B and C grades
12 into Oxbridge

Bald highlights, I know, but now a certain young man who has recently returned from Brussels might get on with some work!

I know that -

All the Hunt B Grecians (bar 2) got straight A's . One got AAB. Dunno bout the remaining one, she only sorta did 2 A-Levels. Hunt B triumphs again.

I guess I should congratulate them all (and of course I do!) - but that really lets the side down. Leigh Hunt always used to be a primarily sporting house, with just a few straight-A students....
