Teaching Austrians about CH

Well, I am now a language assnt in Bad Ischl, and loving it. mostly.

anyone have any ideas, stories, pictures etc that you think i can use in my lessons? you will of course get credited, thus making you instantly internationally famous. sort of.

make lists of CH peculiarities etc. i have shown the few pics i have to about half of my classes, they 'love' the uniform and are intrigued by the buildings, the band and everything else.

Get them to read this forum - should teach them all they need to know about C.H. and about the English language.

Nope, sadly Rock School isn't being shown over here. Though one of the yank language assisstants was going on about how cool it was, so imagine how surprised she was when I told her I went to CH!

Any serious suggestions?

They don't really have independent schools in Austria do they?

It must be very strange to them...

The website's OK, but mainly from a prospectus point of view. What I really need are pics and stories etc. The pics on this forum are quite good but it takes me hours to trawl through them due to the layout and pic size (crap internet connection). It is tempting to just let them loose on the forum but I am loathe to show it to people who aren't OBs incase it gets abused.
If anyone does have any cool CH pics they want to send that show particular CH traits/views/buildings:

You`ve looked at the Official CH website I suppose? Seem to remember a pic of a class in the Language Lab - weren`t you and Oli G. in it? I may be wrong of course!

yep, twas I on my LE. though from what i remember it makes my nose look really pointy.

mrs c, won't mr c have loads of relevant pics? upload them for the greater good. not his pictures of notice boards though obviously...
