Welcome to the forum.

Regarding your question, the best bet is to read the forum posts and topics, and follow the links to the Christ's Hospital website itself, and http://www.oldblues.com to get a feel for what the Old Blues are and have been up to.

As the forum is designed primarily for those who know CH already, and mainly Old Blues, it might be worth creating a signature that makes it clear why you're here, and that you're interested in CH.
Signature can be accessed by clicking on your "Profile" at the top of the page once logged in.

Yup, and a lot of us were rather fond of rock music in its various forms.

Have only just found this forum, so am still getting used to the layout.
Shoz - there is just so much about CH, you'd have to be a wee bit more specific. I'm sure if you PM anyone though, they'd be more than happy to answer any of your questions.

This IS an important comment - I caught one of the episodes of Rock School over the week-end whilst visiting my offspring in L'pool, and was a bit shocked at how snobbish and elitist the kids seemed , - definitely not a good portrayal of the CH ethos as we O.B.s should understand it - the object of CH is to give the best available education, whether academic, sports or social, to all regardless of background , and to create a true respect for others

Ooh.. I hope no offence was taken! Nothing in particular - was just reading through some of the posts about the tube and going to Horsham in uniform.. by the time i got to be a senior, we were allowed in in civvies. I didn't start til '96 though!

A younger poster once referred to me as 'fully aged'!

As I'm in my mid-40s, I explained that I hoped to be doing a good deal more ageing yet!

Actually, there's plenty of amusing stuff to read on here. There seem to have been quite a few changes at C.H. in recent years but, fundamentally, we were all getting up to the same sort of things over the past few decades.

At last I've made an important comment

I agree that the C4 programme seems to have used footage which seems elitist etc.

It's potentially a profound discussion - didn't I read somewhere else on this forum that CH was becoming a place for middle class kids and not for the needy as originally intended?

Old school, but don't feel it.......(in denial)
